How much should you tip?
Tipping customs vary by country. In the US, 15–20% is standard for restaurant service, with 18% a common default. In the UK and much of Europe, a service charge is often included, and tips of around 10% are typical where it is not.
Splitting the bill fairly
This calculator divides the total (bill plus tip) evenly between everyone. For an uneven split, work out each person's share of the bill first, then add the same tip percentage to each.
